Brazilian Buttock Lift
A Brazilian butt lift (BBL) is a procedure that improves the look of your buttocks by removing fat deposits from other parts of your body using Liposuction and inserting them into your buttocks and hips after purifying the fat. This technique allows body contouring to achieve the most proportional result.
The areas your surgeon will be removing fat from will be decided according to various factors.
We offer 3 different types of BBL packages depending on which areas will be included in your surgery plan,
- Standard BBL = The liposuction areas this package includes are abdomen, waist, lower back.
- Extended BBL = The liposuction areas this package includes are abdomen, waist, lower back + upper back and back of arms or inner and outer thighs.
- Maximum BBL = The liposuction areas this package includes are abdomen, waist, lower back + upper back and back of arms + inner and outer thighs.
And the amount of fat that will be injected to each buttock will be advised by your surgeon depending on how much quality fat that will be removed in this surgery. You can discuss your expectation during your online consultation.
Am I suitable for Brazilian Butt Lift?
While the best decision can be made by your plastic surgeon based on your pictures and medical background, BBL surgery allows you to benefit from your own fat. So, our patients who doesn’t have enough fat available might not be suitable for this surgery. However, we also offer a surgery package called Skinny BBL. Brazilian Butt Lift surgery cannot be combined with,
- Breast surgeries
- Rhinoplasty
- Tummy tuck
- Some facial procedures
Unfortunately, BBL and breast/rhinoplasty/tummy tuck surgery cannot be combined at the same round due to recovery position. After BBL surgery, you need to lay on your front and after breast/rhinoplasty/tummy tuck surgery, you are not advised to lay on your front for 8 weeks.

Aftercare
- You’ll be asked to wear a compression garment after your surgery. This period is usually around 6 weeks, 4 weeks for 24 hours and 2 weeks for only daytime. The compression garment is the most important element for your recovery period to make sure you achieve the best result possible.
- Lymphatic massages are usually not a must after this surgery, but they speed up the process. They are always recommended 1 week after your surgery as they can be intense. This is the reason why we do not offer them while our patients are still in Izmir.
- Hydrating is also crucial to get rid of the excess fluid that is stuck in your body due to Liposuction. Drinking 3 litres of water in a day is recommended.
- Light exercises such as jogging can be started in two weeks after the surgery. Weightlifting can be started after the 6th week as leg exercises can causes asymmetries if they are started earlier than this period. Also, keeping the torso as straight as possible during this period is advised to prevent creasing.
- Sitting on your buttocks, laying on your back, crossing your legs is not allowed for 6 weeks. BBL pillows can be used to sit and drive. It will be provided by our team after your surgery.
- Moisturizers should be used to keep the skin hydrated and this will help the skin shrink faster.
- Sunbathing and solarium are not recommended for 6 weeks.
- Losing or gaining more than 5 kg/10 lb is not advised to maintain the result.
Pre-Op Instructıons
- Maintain a healthy diet.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure.
- Avoid drinking alcohol a week before your surgery.
- You should avoid smoking at least a month before and for the duration of your recovery period.
- Avoid taking aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs such as Arnica, Omega-3, herbal and sport supplements as they can increase bleeding.
- T3-T4-TSH tests are required for our patients with thyroid.
- Some antidepressants and birth control pills are not allowed prior to the surgery.
- Do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your surgery.
- Update the team about the current state of your health if there any changes.
Itınerary
Your stay in Izmir, Turkey will be total 7 nights. You’ll spend 1 night in the hospital and 6 nights in the hotel.
You’ll be asked to arrive 1 day prior to your operation. When you arrive to the airport, your transfer will take you to the hotel and you’ll spend the first night at the hotel.
The next morning will be your surgery day. You’ll be taken to your hospital for your blood tests and your surgeon will be with you at 8 for your pre-op consultation. Once the consultation is over, you’ll be taken to the surgery theatre.
Your surgery will take around 2-3 hours. You’ll be supervised at the hospital for 1 night after your surgery. On the 3rd morning, you’ll be discharged from the hospital.
Your first post-op consultation will be scheduled to remove your splints.
Our nurse will come and see you at the hotel before your last post-op consultation.
The last post-op consultation is schedule one day prior to your departure to remove your cast. In this consultation, your surgeon will explain the details of your aftercare and answer your questions.
On your departure date, you will be brought back to the airport for your departure flight.
